Building Relationships – A New Twist On An Age-Old Concept
Have you ever received a greeting card in the mail that took you by surprise? It probably made you feel good knowing that someone took the time to purchase that greeting card, included a personal message and sent it to you.
Are you someone who loves to get custom greeting cards in the mail with photos of your grand kids on the front? Ever receive a silly picture of someone’s pet to cheer you up when you’ve had a bad day? Many people never or rarely act on those promptings and send greeting cards to friends and loved ones because they forget or think they don’t have time. It doesn’t matter who you are, people love to be appreciated!
I have gotten so bogged down with junk mail, bills and credit card information that when I get a personal greeting card in the mail, I secretly jump for joy! Building relationships through greeting cards is a concept known as “Thank You Marketing.”
Unfortunately, with our busy lives that we all seem to have, sending any type of assorted greeting card is becoming a rare occurrence. Think about all the steps you have to go through to send cards out in the mail. In the traditional manner of sending an assorted greeting card the process involves:
- Driving to the card store ~ takes time and money.
- Looking through their choices of cards, sometimes minimal!
- Purchasing your card ~ average cost per card is up to $3.00 plus tax!
- Writing your personal message in the card
- Stuffing and addressing the envelope (Often times searching for the person’s address because we don’t have it right there with us!)
- Stamping the envelope ~ that is if you can find stamps since you do your bills online!
- FINALLY you are ready to mail that card!!
No wonder you don’t send as many greeting cards or thank you cards as you’d like to. Who has time for all that with everything else you have going on?!
What if you found a company that had a method to help build customer relationships and made it quick and easy to get your greeting cards sent to those you care about or thank you cards to your business clients? Next time a business client wants to do business, they’ll remember you!
What if you could choose your greeting cards online, add a personal message and have it mailed via the United States Postal Service to anywhere in the world? Even better you would want to be able to leverage your time and it be cost effective, right?
An added bonus sending greeting cards through the postal mail is that when they arrive, they have a shelf life. So what do you do? Put a picture of yourself inside the card with your contact information. A greeting card can become an oversized business card!
Thing about it… when building relationships with others, many times the only contact you ever have with a person is via telephone. By placing a photo in your card you put a friendly face to your voice. Plus having something they can touch and fell that has your contact information is always beneficial.
Whether you are building a client relationship or maintaining relationships with friends and family, sending a greeting card will always leave a bigger and better impression than a quick email!

In addition to the protective qualities, the translucent nature makes it easy to identify and organize materials in the envelope.
Glassine envelopes are a must-have for stamp collecting. They are the best way to store stamps until you can put them in albums.
